Corazón Single Barrel Reposado is a blue Weber agave tequila from Casa San Matías in Jalisco, rested in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels as part of the Expresiones programme, then bottled one cask at a time. Single barrel means no batching, so what you taste is the work of that specific barrel rather than a house average, and bottles vary in the way single barrels always do. Roasted agave leads, with vanilla, caramel and baking spice coming off the wood and a warm, lightly peppery finish. Drink it neat in a copita, or stir it into an agave old fashioned with orange peel.
