About this bottle
Cosa Salvaje Añejo is a blue Weber agave tequila aged at least a year in oak and sold in the brand's skull-embossed bottle, the kind that stays on a shelf long after it is empty. Añejo is where tequila starts to overlap with whiskey: the barrel contributes vanilla, caramel and spice while the cooked agave holds its ground underneath rather than disappearing into the wood. Expect roasted agave, butterscotch and dried fruit on the nose, a palate of caramel, baking spice and gentle oak, and a long, warming finish. Drink it neat in a copita, or pour it over one large cube after dinner.
