Crown Royal Texas Mesquite 750ml

Crown Royal Texas Mesquite is a limited Canadian whisky built as a nod to Texas barbecue country, layering a mesquite smoke character over the familiar Gimli blend. It is a gentler take on smoke than a peated scotch, closer to the aroma of a smouldering pit than a bonfire. The nose opens on toasted grain and vanilla with a wisp of woodsmoke curling behind it. The palate is soft and sweet, caramel and baked apple giving way to charred oak and a dry, savoury smoke note. The finish is medium and lightly ashy. Serve it over a big cube, or use it in a smoky old fashioned.
