Devil's Share Small Batch Single Malt Whiskey is Cutwater's American single malt, distilled in San Diego from malted barley and aged in oak in a warm California climate that pushes maturation along faster than Kentucky or Speyside would. The result sits between a bourbon's sweetness and a malt's cereal weight. The nose brings malt loaf, honey and dried apricot with a light toasted note. The palate is round and grain-driven, carrying caramel, baked pear and a touch of cocoa over gentle oak. The finish is medium, warm and drying. Drink it neat, or use it where you would reach for a lighter scotch.
