Old Grove Small Batch Gin is Cutwater's California gin, distilled in San Diego in small batches with a botanical bill that keeps juniper in charge while letting citrus and coriander open it up. It leans drier and more traditional than the brand's canned lineup might suggest. The nose is piney and fresh, with juniper, lemon peel and a hint of cardamom. The palate is clean and firm, juniper and coriander at the centre, orange oil and a light pepper note behind. The finish is dry and cooling. Use it in a gin and tonic, or stir it into a martini with a lemon twist.
