DeLeon Anejo 750 ml

DeLeón Añejo is made from 100% blue Weber agave and aged in American oak barrels, giving it a rounded, mellow character built around oak, vanilla, and caramel over a cooked-agave base. As with any añejo, at least a year in barrel softens the sharper, vegetal edges you'd find in an unaged blanco, leaving a smoother, sweeter profile. DeLeón markets itself as an ultra-premium tequila, and the añejo sits in the middle of its range between the reposado and the fully clarified Diamante. It works equally well as a slow sip or as the base of an aged-tequila cocktail. Serve it neat to start, then decide if it needs ice.

How to drink DeLeón Añejo

Start neat in a rocks glass to taste the oak and caramel on their own, then add a single cube if you want it colder. It also holds up in an añejo Old Fashioned, swapping in agave syrup for simple syrup.
