Desert Door Oak-Aged Texas Sotol 50ml

Desert Door Oak-Aged Sotol is made in Driftwood, Texas from wild sotol harvested by hand off West Texas ranchland, not from a cultivated field. Sotol is not agave at all, though it grows beside it and behaves a little like it in the still, and the plant's earthy, grassy character is what makes the category worth knowing. Time in oak rounds that off: toasted wood, vanilla and dry desert grass on the nose, then caramel, mesquite honey and green herbal notes across the palate, closing warm and earthy. This is the 50ml pour, the right size to try the category. Sip it neat, or swap it into an old fashioned.
