About this bottle
Dingle Batch No. 3 is a single malt Irish whiskey from Dingle Distillery in County Kerry, the first distillery built from scratch in Ireland in a century. It's distilled from 100% Irish malted barley on three custom pot stills and matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and port casks for at least three years before bottling at 46% ABV. The port casks lift the spirit with red-berry sweetness and a spiced orange character, layered over the ex-bourbon side's vanilla and honey, with a warm, gently drying finish. It suits a drinker who wants Irish whiskey with a bit more fruit and spice than the mainstream blends offer.
How to drink Dingle Batch No. 3
Try it neat first to catch the port-cask fruit before adding a splash of water opens up the spice. It also holds its own in an Irish whiskey sour, where the berry notes play well against fresh lemon.
