About this bottle

Don Fulano Añejo is a highland tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave grown around Los Altos, Jalisco, and distilled at La Tequilena. It rests a minimum of 30 months in French oak - longer than most añejos see before bottling - and nothing is added to color, sweeten, or soften the final spirit. That extended aging shows clearly: banana bread, cardamom, and warm baking spice on the nose, honey and a drying, structured mouthfeel across the palate, and a long, oak-driven finish. Bottled at 80 proof, it drinks like a sipping spirit built for slow attention rather than mixing.

How to drink Don Fulano Añejo

This one earns a snifter and a few minutes to open up before the first sip - neat is the right call, no ice needed. The oak and spice hold their own in an Old Fashioned if you want to see it in a cocktail, but that's a secondary use for a tequila built to be sipped.

What the verse says

Good to know

Questions about this bottle

How should I serve this?

Neat, in a tulip glass or snifter, with a few minutes of air before the first sip - this is a sipping añejo, not an ice pour.

Does it work in cocktails?

It can carry an Old Fashioned thanks to the oak and spice, but the extended aging is really built for sipping rather than mixing.

What makes this different from other añejos?

It spends a minimum of 30 months in French oak, well past the one-year minimum most añejos use, and nothing beyond agave and wood is added to the spirit.
