Double A 6yr Appreciation & Attonement 750ml

Double A Appreciation & Atonement is a straight bourbon carrying a six year age statement, two years further along than the younger release in the same range. Those extra summers in the rickhouse show up as darker colour, more tannin and a heavier oak signature, trading some of the young grain sweetness for structure. The nose is toffee, dark cherry and charred oak. The palate is brown sugar, cinnamon and leather with a firmer oak grip through the middle, and the finish is long and drying. This is a bourbon that rewards a little air. Pour it neat, or over one large cube if the oak needs opening up.
