About this bottle
Drumshanbo Sausage Tree is a small-batch gin from The Shed Distillery in County Leitrim, Ireland — the makers of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin — built around the rare sausage tree fruit (kigelia africana) sourced from Africa alongside a broader botanical bill. It's distilled in the same triple-distillation, four-pot-still process the distillery uses across its range, giving it a smooth base before the unusual botanical mix takes over: earthy, slightly fruity, and distinct from a typical juniper-forward London Dry. It's a limited, adventurous release rather than an everyday pour.
How to drink Drumshanbo Sausage Tree
Serve it in a gin and tonic with a citrus garnish to let the unusual botanicals show against the bitterness of the tonic. It's distinctive enough to also work well in a Martini for anyone who wants something different.
