El Ateo Blanco 750 ML

El Ateo Blanco is a Mexican tequila bottled unaged, going from the still to the bottle with little or no time in wood. That makes it the most transparent expression a tequila has: what reaches the glass is cooked agave, fermentation character and the distiller's cut, rather than anything borrowed from a barrel. Expect a nose of roasted agave and citrus peel, a palate of black pepper, lime zest and a green vegetal snap, and a clean, warming finish. This is the bottle for margaritas, palomas and a tequila and soda, though it is worth a small neat pour first to hear what the base spirit is saying.
