El Ateo Reposado 750 ML

El Ateo Reposado is a Mexican tequila rested in oak, a class that calls for a minimum of two months in wood before bottling. A short rest does not bury the agave or turn the spirit dark; it takes the edges off the pepper, adds a thread of vanilla and gives the texture a rounder feel in the mouth. Expect a nose of cooked agave, light caramel and oak, a palate of vanilla, baked apple, cinnamon and soft agave sweetness, and a medium finish with a touch of char. Pour it over ice, or use it to build a softer, rounder margarita than a blanco gives you.
