El Búho Especial Joven is an unaged mezcal made from Cuishe agave, a slow-maturing wild agave variety related to Espadín but generally taking longer to grow, produced in Oaxaca using traditional pit-roasting and small-batch distillation, sold here in the brand's black bottle. Being joven (unaged and bottled clear), it shows raw agave and smoke character without any barrel influence. Expect roasted agave, smoke and a mineral, vegetal edge on the nose, an earthy, intense palate, and a smoky, warming finish. Built for sipping neat by drinkers who want mezcal's rawest expression.
