Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is Heaven Hill's uncut, unfiltered version of its small batch Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled straight from the barrel with nothing added and nothing taken away. Batch C924 is the third release of 2024: the letter marks the batch, the numbers the month and year, and every batch arrives with its own proof and its own character. Expect a big nose of caramel, toasted oak and dark cherry, a palate of brown sugar, baking spice, leather and char, and a long, hot finish that rewards a splash of water. Drink it neat with water on the side, or over one large cube.
