Elvelo Reposado 750 ml

Elvelo Reposado is a Mexican tequila rested in oak, which by law means at least two months in wood before bottling. That short stay does not turn the spirit brown or bury the agave; it rounds off the edges, adds a thread of vanilla and softens the pepper that runs through a blanco. Expect a nose of cooked agave, light caramel and oak; a palate of vanilla, baked apple, cinnamon and gentle agave sweetness; and a warm, medium finish with a touch of char. It drinks well neat over ice, makes a rounder and softer margarita, and slots naturally into a tequila old fashioned.
