Fidencio Tierra Blanca Mezcal 750ml

Fidencio Tierra Blanca is a small-run Oaxacan mezcal from the Fidencio range, made the traditional way: agave roasted over hot stones in an earthen pit, crushed, fermented in open wooden vats with whatever yeast is living in the palenque, and distilled twice in copper. Releases like this one exist because a particular batch of agave earned its own bottling instead of disappearing into the house blend. Expect roasted agave and soft smoke on the nose, a palate of citrus, green herbs and minerality, and a dry finish that hangs around. Serve it neat in a copita, room temperature, with something salty within reach.
