Raicilla Asil Anejo 750ml

Raicilla is a traditional agave spirit from the state of Jalisco, made in the mountains and along the coast west of the tequila zone, usually in small stills and from agave varieties that never make it into tequila. This añejo bottling has spent time in oak, which is unusual for the category and rounds off raicilla's characteristically wild, herbal profile. Expect cooked agave, dried herbs and a wisp of smoke on the nose, a palate of caramel, green pepper and citrus peel, and a long, earthy finish. Sip it neat at room temperature in a small glass and give it a few minutes to open before judging it.
