Once a year, Four Roses turns its oldest barrels loose, and the 2024 Limited Edition Small Batch is a barrel-strength Kentucky straight bourbon built from four of them: 12-year OBSV, 15-year OESK, 16-year OESF and a 20-year OBSV. Master Distiller Brent Elliott calls the blend vibrant and bright, and the pour backs him up — creamy vanilla, honey and brown sugar on the nose, ripe berries and tangy citrus on the palate, delicate mellow spice at the close. The whiskey is non-chill filtered and bottled at barrel strength, roughly 16,680 bottles for the year. This is an allocation staple that moves quickly when it lands.
