Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXIX “Mandamus” Rum 750ml

Foursquare Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXIX, Mandamus, is the latest entry in Richard Seale's numbered series of Barbadian single blended rums - pot and column distillate from the one estate, matured in the tropics and bottled without sugar, colouring or any other additive. Each Mark is its own cask recipe, which is why drinkers track the series by number rather than by name. Expect a nose of dried apricot, toffee and old oak, a palate of banana bread, orange marmalade, clove and dark chocolate carried on firm tannin, and a long finish of leather and toasted wood. Pour it neat in a tulip glass and give it air - it drinks like a well-aged brandy.
