Friday Deployment Spirits Force Push Gin is a small-producer gin, which in practice means a neutral base spirit redistilled with juniper and a supporting cast of botanicals picked by the distiller. Gin is the most transparent spirit there is - there is nowhere for a recipe to hide, and the balance of the botanicals is the entire product. Expect juniper and citrus peel on the nose with a herbal, slightly peppery lift behind them, a palate of pine, coriander seed and bright lemon over a clean base, and a dry finish with a little warmth. Use it where the gin should be heard: a gin and tonic packed with ice, or a stirred Martini with a lemon twist.
