Full Curl Straight Rye Small Batch is a three-year straight rye, which is rye at its most direct - the grain leads, the oak sits behind it, and nothing has had time to sand the edges off. Small batch means several barrels were married before bottling, which evens out the run without smoothing away the character that makes young rye worth drinking. Expect a nose of dill, cracked pepper and light caramel, a palate of rye bread crust, mint, baking spice and a thin line of vanilla, and a dry, peppery finish. This is cocktail rye in the best sense - put it in a Sazerac and let it drive the drink.
