G4 Anejo De Madera De Muertos 750 ml

G4 Anejo de Madera de Muertos is the Dia de Muertos bottling of G4's oak-aged anejo, made at Destileria El Pandillo in Jesus Maria, in the Jalisco highlands. Felipe Camarena works the way his family always has: agave cooked in brick ovens, long fermentation using a mix of collected rainwater and deep-well spring water, distillation in copper. Ageing takes that highland sweetness somewhere darker. The nose is roasted agave, vanilla and dried fruit; the palate brings caramel, cooked apple and a little pepper over toasted oak; the finish runs long and sweetly spiced before drying out. Pour it neat and give it a few minutes in the glass.
