The whiskey spends four to five years in new American oak, then eight to nine months infused with Burleson's Texas wildflower honey, then three more years finishing in French XO cognac casks. The result reads like dessert without drinking sweet — dark chocolate-covered cherries, dried figs, buckwheat pancakes, and honey riding a stout Texas backbone. Lady Bird honors Lady Bird Johnson, and five dollars from every bottle goes to her Wildflower Center in Austin. Each release is a limited annual run that sells through quickly.
