Garrison Brothers Single Barrel is a limited-edition bourbon from the Hye, Texas distillery, made from a mash of corn, rye, and malted barley and aged a minimum of four years in new, charred American oak. Texas's extreme heat pushes barrels through faster, more intense aging cycles than Kentucky's climate allows, concentrating flavor in fewer years. Bottled at a robust 94 proof, this single-barrel release captures the variation between individual barrels that batch bourbon smooths over. Expect caramel and vanilla up front, toasted oak and baking spice through the middle, and a long, smooth finish with real heat behind it. Garrison Brothers was the first legal bourbon distillery in Texas.
