Gentleman's Cut is a Kentucky straight bourbon launched with Stephen Curry, and the Player Exclusive series takes that whiskey down to single barrels chosen one at a time. This bottling carries the Jose Andres name on the label. Single barrel picks are the honest version of bourbon, since there is no blending to smooth out the edges, so whatever the cask did is exactly what ends up in the glass. Expect caramel and orchard fruit on the nose, then vanilla, baking spice and toasted oak across a medium-weight palate, with a dry, gently peppery finish. Drink it neat, or on a single large cube where the barrel character has room to open.
