About this bottle
George Dickel Bottled in Bond 12 Year is Tennessee whisky from Cascade Hollow, made to the bonded standard: one distilling season, one distillery, at least four years in a federally supervised warehouse, and exactly 100 proof. Dickel chills its new make before running it through sugar maple charcoal, a cold version of the Lincoln County Process, which strips harshness and leaves the whisky unusually soft for its strength. Twelve years in oak supplies the rest: charred sugar, dried corn and a little menthol on the nose, then caramel, cinnamon and toasted nut on the palate, with a long, minty finish. Drink it neat, or over one big cube.
