Giffard Creme De Fraise Des Bois Liqueur 750 ml

Giffard Creme de Fraise des Bois is a wild strawberry liqueur from the Giffard house in Angers, in the Loire, where fruit liqueurs have been made since 1885. Fraise des bois are the small woodland strawberries, more perfumed and considerably more acidic than the cultivated fruit, and that difference is the entire point of the bottle. The nose is fresh strawberry and rose petal; the palate is bright and jammy without turning to candy, with real fruit acidity holding up the sweetness; the finish is short and clean. Pour it into sparkling wine for a kir royale, or shake it into a daiquiri or a gin sour.
