Kyro Gin (Napue) 750 ml

Kyrö Gin — the Finnish spirit first released as Napue — is a gin distilled entirely from whole-grain rye at the Kyrö Distillery in Isokyrö. Sixteen botanicals go into it, and the wild-picked ones do the talking: meadowsweet, sea buckthorn, cranberry and birch leaves alongside the expected juniper and coriander. The rye base gives it real backbone, so the palate carries a peppery, bread-crust warmth under bright citrus and herbal sweetness, with a clean birch-and-juniper finish. It took World's Best Gin for gin and tonic at the IWSC, and that is exactly where it belongs: long, over plenty of ice, with tonic, a few cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.

How to drink Kyrö Gin (Napue)

Best in a gin and tonic, built long over ice with a few cranberries and fresh rosemary to echo the botanicals already in the bottle. It also holds its own in a Martini for drinkers who want more rye spice than a typical London Dry gives.
