Glen Moray Single Malt Scotch Sherry Cask 750ml

Glen Moray Sherry Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt matured in ex-bourbon barrels and then moved into sherry casks for a second maturation, which is where the colour and the dried-fruit character come from. The distillery sits on the banks of the Lossie in Elgin and has always made an unpeated, gentle malt, so sherry suits it rather than fighting it. The nose is raisin, orange peel and toffee; the palate is soft and sweet with sultana, honey and a little nutty oak; the finish is medium and warming. Bottled at 40% ABV. Drink it neat, or with a splash of water to open the fruit.
