Glenmorangie The Lasanta is a Highland single malt aged first in ex-bourbon casks and then extra-matured in sherry casks, bottled here at fifteen years. Lasanta means warmth and passion in Gaelic, and the sherry period is what earns the name: it takes the light, floral spirit that comes off Glenmorangie's tall stills and layers dried fruit and nuttiness over the top of it. The nose is raisin, orange and toffee; the palate is full with dried fig, chocolate, hazelnut and warm spice; the finish is long and gently drying. Drink it neat in a copita, or over one large cube after a meal.
