God Enoc Extra Añejo Tequila 80 proof 750ml

God Enoc Extra Añejo is a Mexican tequila carried past the three-year mark in oak, the minimum an extra añejo has to clear, and bottled at a gentle 80 proof. Long ageing at low strength makes for a mellow pour: the agave is still there, but it sits under layers of barrel character rather than leading the way. The nose opens on vanilla bean, roasted nuts and dried orchard fruit, the palate turns to caramel, cooked agave and soft baking spice, and the finish carries toasted oak and butterscotch with almost no burn. Serve it neat in a small tulip glass after a long dinner.
