God Enoc Extra Añejo Ceramic is the same long-aged Mexican tequila presented in a ceramic decanter and bottled at 80 proof. Extra añejo requires at least three years in oak, and that stretch of barrel time is what turns a bright agave spirit into something closer to a sipping brandy. Vanilla, toasted almond and dried fig set up the nose; the palate is caramel, baked agave and a light run of cinnamon and clove; the finish is oaky and sweet, fading slowly without heat. The decanter makes it an obvious gift, but do not let it sit unopened — pour it neat, no ice needed.
