Gold Miner Corn Whiskey is an American corn whiskey in a half-size 375ml bottle. Corn whiskey is its own legal category and a distinct one from bourbon: the mash has to run at least eighty percent corn, and the spirit is either left unaged or rested only in used or uncharred wood, which keeps the grain front and centre instead of burying it under barrel char. That shows in the glass as sweet corn and buttered popcorn on the nose, a soft and faintly syrupy palate of cornbread and vanilla, and a short, warm finish. Drink it chilled as a shot, or lengthen it with lemonade over plenty of ice.
