Gran Alambique Extra Añejo takes its name from the alambique, the copper pot still that shapes traditional tequila, and it carries the extra añejo designation — a minimum of three years in oak before it can be bottled under that word. That much barrel time pushes the spirit deep into amber and pulls it away from raw agave toward dessert flavours. The nose runs vanilla, dried fruit and toasted nuts; the palate is caramel, cooked agave and warm baking spice with a light tannic grip; the finish is long, oaky and softly sweet. Treat it like an aged brandy: neat, in a small glass, with nothing in the way.
