High N Wicked Foursquare Single Grain Irish No7 750 ML

High n' Wicked's Foursquare release is an Irish single grain whiskey finished in casks that previously held rum from Foursquare in Barbados — a good pairing, because grain whiskey picks up cask character quickly without losing its lightness. This is batch No. 7 in the series. The rum influence shows as toasted sugar and banana on the nose, then a palate of vanilla, coconut, light molasses and soft orchard fruit, with a clean, gently sweet finish that stays on the lighter side of the whiskey shelf. Serve it neat in a copita, or lengthen it with soda and a lime wedge when the weather asks for it.
