Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select, a 90-proof Tennessee whiskey aged partly in specially grooved Sinatra barrels, honors the man who introduced Old No. 7 from the stage for half a century. Deep grooves cut into the barrel staves expose the whiskey to extra layers of toasted oak, and the pour shows it: bold oak and vanilla up front, caramel through the middle, then a warm, spiced finish trailing a wisp of smoke. At 45 percent, Sinatra Select carries more weight than standard Jack while keeping the charcoal-mellowed smoothness the distillery built its name on.
