About this bottle
Jack Daniel's 12 Year Old is the oldest age-stated whiskey the distillery has put out in modern times, and this is Batch 04. Twelve Tennessee summers in the upper reaches of a rickhouse do a great deal of work: the wood pushes far harder here than it does in Old No. 7, and the sugar maple charcoal mellowing that softens the young spirit leaves room for it to. Expect dark caramel, dried fruit and heavy toasted oak on the nose, a palate of baking spice, leather and brown sugar, and a long, dry, tannic finish. Drink it neat, adding water only if the proof asks for it.
