About this bottle

Jameson Bow Street 18 Cask Strength is the Irish whiskey that brought maturation back to the brand's original Dublin home for the first time since 1975. After more than eighteen years in hand-selected European and American oak at Midleton, the whiskey crosses the country to Bow Street for a final six months in first-fill bourbon barrels, only 84 casks maturing there at any one time. Batch 1 is bottled at cask strength, undiluted from those casks, and it drinks with real depth: toffee and oak throughout, leather and vanilla behind them, a subtle sherry nuttiness underneath, and a long finish where toasted oak and spice hang on. Pour it neat, add a few drops of water, and give this one time to open up.

How to drink Jameson Bow Street 18

Neat is the right call — pour a small measure, let it sit a minute, and taste before adding anything. If the cask strength runs hot for your palate, a splash of water opens the toffee and sherry notes without flattening them. Save this one for sipping, not mixing.
