Jameson Distiller's Batch is a small-batch release out of Midleton in County Cork, built on the same triple-distilled marriage of pot still and grain whiskey that defines the house style. Triple distillation is what makes Jameson as soft as it is — each pass strips more of the heavy character out and leaves a lighter, sweeter spirit behind, which is why Irish whiskey drinks the way it does. Expect vanilla, orchard fruit and light floral notes on the nose, a palate of pear, honey, toasted wood and a touch of pot still spice, and a smooth, clean finish. Drink it neat, over ice, or with ginger and lime.
