Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition is standard triple-distilled Jameson given a second life in craft beer barrels: the distillery lends whiskey casks to a brewery, the brewery ages IPA in them, and the barrels come back to Midleton to be filled with whiskey again. The beer leaves its mark. Expect hops, citrus peel and orchard fruit on the nose, a palate of vanilla, green apple and a distinct hoppy bitterness cutting through the usual Jameson sweetness, and a crisp, dry finish.
