Joseph Cartron Thé Noir Fumé (Black Tea) Liqueur 700 ml

Joseph Cartron Thé Noir Fumé is a smoked black tea liqueur from the Burgundy house at Nuits-Saint-Georges, built on the lapsang style of leaf whose smoke comes from drying over pinewood. It is an unusual bottle in a range better known for fruit and flowers. The nose is campfire and dried leaf; the palate brings tannic black tea, a little dried plum and a restrained sweetness; the finish is dry, smoky and long. Treat it as a modifier rather than as something to sip on its own. A small measure will bring smoke to a whiskey sour, or stir it into an old fashioned built on aged rum.
