Joshua Tree Maguey Weber Blanco 750ml

This is an unaged agave spirit made from maguey Weber — the same blue agave used for tequila, worked here in a mezcal style so the roast comes through instead of being polished away. Blanco means it goes from still to bottle with no time in wood, which leaves nothing standing between you and the plant. The nose is roasted agave, green pepper and campfire; the palate is bright and mineral with citrus peel, cooked vegetable sweetness and a smoky thread running underneath; the finish is clean, dry and long. Drink it neat in a copita, small sips at room temperature, or use it to build a smoky margarita.
