Kavalan Sherry Oak is matured entirely in ex-sherry casks at the Kavalan Distillery in Yilan, Taiwan, where the subtropical climate speeds up maturation and pulls flavor from the wood far faster than in Scotland. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, it leans into everything ex-sherry casks bring: dried fruit, toffee, and baking spice, with a rich, slightly nutty sweetness through the palate and a warm, spice-laced finish. It's a fuller, more intense pour than Kavalan's standard oak releases, aimed at drinkers who like a sherry-forward whisky.

How to drink Kavalan Sherry Oak

Take it neat in a tulip glass to catch the dried fruit and spice in full; the higher proof also stands up to a single ice cube if you prefer it slightly opened up. Best kept away from mixers.
