Kyro Malt Rye Whisky 700 ml

Kyrö Malt Rye is a Finnish whisky made entirely from malted rye, distilled at Kyrö in Isokyrö by a team that started with rye and never moved off it. One hundred percent malted rye is unusual and famously difficult to work with, and the payoff is a distinctly bready, spicy spirit that tastes like neither bourbon nor scotch. The nose is rye bread crust and orange zest; the palate runs to dark honey, clove, dried fruit and a peppery rye bite; and the finish is warm and dry. Drink it neat at room temperature, or put it in a Manhattan where the rye needs to be heard over everything else.
