LA Bay Gin 3 Months Old Oak Barrel Aged Gin 750ml

LA Bay Gin is a barrel-rested gin, given three months in oak before bottling — long enough to take on colour and a soft vanilla frame without turning into whiskey. Juniper is still the anchor, but the wood rounds off the sharper edges. The nose is pine and citrus peel with a warm caramel note underneath; the palate brings juniper, coriander and gentle baking spice riding on light oak sweetness; and the finish is dry and faintly resinous. This is a gin for stirred drinks rather than tonic. Try it in a negroni, a martinez, or an old fashioned built with gin in place of whiskey.
