La Fée NV Absinthe Verte 700ml

La Fée NV Absinthe Verte is a green absinthe from La Fée, the house that did as much as anyone to bring absinthe back to legal shelves in France. Verte takes its colour from a second herbal maceration after distillation, a step that deepens the flavour as well as the hue — and over time in the bottle that green will fade toward amber, which is normal and not a fault. Expect anise and fennel on the nose over a bed of dried herbs, a palate of sweet anise, bitter wormwood and mint, and a long, drying, slightly numbing finish. Drip iced water slowly over a sugar cube until it louches.
