About this bottle
La Venenosa Etnica Tutsi is an unaged raicilla from the hills of Jalisco, part of a range built around the specific communities and taberneros who still distil the old way. Agave is roasted, fermented with ambient yeast and run through small traditional stills, and nothing is added afterward, which is why raicilla tastes so unlike commercial agave spirits. The nose is green agave, hay and a thin thread of woodsmoke; the palate runs herbal and fruity with guava and lime pith over damp earth; the finish is dry, mineral and slow to fade. Drink it neat in a copita, never chilled, alongside something salty.
