About this bottle
Ledaig 2005 14 Year is the peated single malt Scotch from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, released under the Ledaig name to distinguish it from the distillery's unpeated Tobermory-branded whisky. Vintage-dated to 2005, it carries 14 years of maturation before bottling. Expect coastal smoke, brine and dried fruit on the nose, a rich, peaty palate with maritime character and light sweetness, and a long, smoky, salty finish. It's a lesser-hyped alternative to the bigger Islay peat names, made on a different island with its own distinct coastal character.
How to drink Ledaig 2005
Neat or with a splash of water — the coastal smoke and brine come through clearly either way.
