Leopold Bros Three Chamber Rye (2022 Release) is a straight rye whiskey made on the distillery's own three-chamber still in Denver, Colorado, from a mash of 80% Abruzzi rye and 20% Leopold Bros floor-malted barley. It's aged five years and bottled at 100 proof as a single barrel release. The three-chamber distillation process, revived from a Prohibition-era design, gives the whiskey a grassy, herbal rye character alongside baking spice, dried fruit, and a floral note from the floor malt. The finish is long and peppery. This is a rye for drinkers chasing something more textured and old-school than the mass-market rye whiskeys on the shelf next to it.
